In homage to Iran famed director Abbas Kiarostami, a photo frame with a length of 400 meters is set to be installed at Imam Khomeini Int'l Airport.

The frame is being installed at one of the IKA terminals in Iranian capital city of Tehran with a design by Iran female painter Sepideh Sahar.

The artist was quoted by the media as saying, "In this project, I used the pictures taken by Mr. Kiarostami; however, because of the low size of these pictures, I had to paint them again pixels to pixels by the computer."

“This space structure is about 400 meters high and is fitted with a sticker on the glass. There is also a green light, which is supposed to be turned on every day as a way to pay our respects to Mr. Kiarostami.”

She also noted, “The green light was inspired from the movie 'Where is the Friend's Home?' And the route the boy in the flick had to take every day.”

'Where is the Friend's Home' tells a deceptively simple account of a conscientious schoolboy's quest to return his friend's notebook in a neighboring village.

The veteran Iranian filmmaker who passed away on July 4, 2016, following a heart attack at the age of 76, was honored at several film events around the world.
